Description

A pottery jug with a rounded body, narrow neck, flared rim and a single strap handle rising from the shoulder to the rim. The vessel has been mended from several fragments, and the cracks and joins show clearly across the body. Its surface is dark and mottled in patches, with a small handwritten number label on the left side, and it stands on a ring base on a pale surface against a grey backdrop.
