English, translated from the French record

Fragment of a mould-made terracotta figurine of the Great Goddess in her various aspects, comprising the right half of a bust with arm, from Salamis, Cyprus. Pinkish-buff very pale sandy fabric with very pale yellow slip; traces of blue-green paint; H. 7.5 cm. The right arm is folded across the front, with a hand whose fingers are worn, holding between thumb and index finger the very fine stem of an open calyx flower, its petals visible; a thick rim of a cloak runs along the forearm and hand, and the bracelet at the wrist is shown by two incised lines rather than a raised ring, perhaps a lotus that resembles a bindweed. Classical period. Inventory Tc_2122; 22 August 1972.

Moulé creux. H. 7,5.
