Head of a terracotta figurine of the Great Goddess wearing a closed calathos, plain (undecorated) calathoi, Classical period, from Salamis, Cyprus, square K VI/δ4. The head is complete but worn, with a prominent chin, hair drawn symmetrically to the sides from the centre, an indistinct lower edge to the calathos, a flat back, and a concave disc earring with a conical pendant; the mouth has a bitter expression with deep corners, and traces of green paint remain on the calathos. Fabric buff, solid mould, H. 7 cm. Inventory Tc_1942; 4 September 1969.
