Hollow-moulded terracotta fragment of a bust of a standing woman, Classical period, from square K VI/δ4 in the area south of the Rampart at Salamis, Cyprus. Pale pinkish-buff fabric with white-green slip; back preserved, flat, well smoothed, with a clean join; l. 9.5 cm, H. 9.5 cm. Right arm bare, short and strong, hanging slightly away from the body; a drapery (underneath or over?) indicated by a small round knob to the right of the breast, which is not visible; on the shoulder, slightly back, a fold of cloth pressed transversely (mantle?); twisted bracelet at the wrist. l. 9,5. Bras droit nu, court et fort, pendant légèrement écarté du corps. Un drapé (de dessous ? de dessus ?) se signale par un petit bouton rond, à droite du sein, lequel n'est pas visible. Sur l'épaule, un peu en arrière, pan d'étoffe tassé, transversalement (manteau ?). Bracelet torsadé au poignet.
