Handmade quadruped figurine, area south of the rampart
Object card: 1968. Mission archéologique française de Kition-Salamine (MOM, Lyon), Nakala, SAL_4176. "Handmade quadruped figurine, area south of the rampart". CC BY 4.0. Resized.
Figurine without mould, quadruped animal without particular characteristics; red paint still bright, solid modelling, preserved height 6.5 cm; beige-brown fabric. Incomplete: the head (except the ears), the forelegs and the right hind leg are missing. The cavity visible under the leg perhaps suggests that this animal was mounted on wheels. Square K VI/β4, area south of the rampart, Salamis, Cyprus; inventory Tc_1472; negative 00666_02; slide C_4140; 24 September 1968.
