Fragment of a head of the Great Goddess with calathos, from the area south of the rampart, square K VI/δ4, Salamis. Classical period. The head wears a calathos decorated in high relief with about two groups of two crossed reclining S-shapes, the decoration applied and heavily re-incised; the hair is strongly puffed and rolled over a roll visible at the centre, and the lower edge of the calathos is indistinct. Fragment, mended, brownish fabric, hollow-moulded; H. 8 cm, l. 11 cm. Inventory Tc_1464; 23 September 1968.
