Object card: 1968. Mission archéologique française de Kition-Salamine (MOM, Lyon), Nakala, SAL_3824. "Terracotta head fragment of Great Goddess with calathos, Salamis". CC BY 4.0. Resized.
Upper fragment of a head, without the back, of pink clay, moulded hollow, with incised retouching for the hair; H. 6.7 cm. Hair parted in a distinct median parting into regularly undulating bands (12 undulations), running right to left on one side and in the opposite direction on the other, where only the start survives; the base of a flat, well-defined band of headdress rises vertically (perhaps the base of a calathos).
