English, translated from the French record

Bronze belt buckle, complete but very corroded and slightly deformed; L. 6.8 cm, buckle 4 x 1.7 cm, plaque 4.9 x 2.5 cm, thickness 0.5 cm. The plaque and buckle are cast together; the oval buckle is of round-section wire, and the massive plaque is rectangular at first with scalloped edges, then narrows into a heart shape ending in a rounded swelling; three tenons on the back of the plaque serve for attachment, and the oxidation prevents the decoration of the upper face from being made out. Found in Byzantine tomb no. 4, Campanopetra, Salamis, Cyprus. Inventory B_0152; 27 April 1968.
