Cabochon of almandine garnet, complete, H. 0.6 cm, weight 12.23 carats, Ø 1.6 x 1.3 cm. Oval stone with a convex top and slightly concave base, reddish violet in colour with a touch of brown; the cutting and polish are remarkable and entirely comparable to modern work. Sector Campanopetra, square K IV/γ9, Salamis, Cyprus. Inventory Po_0211; 17 April 1965.
