Upper part of a Rhodian amphora with complete neck and part of the body (H. preserved 50 cm), broken and rejoined. Red clay, micaceous with golden mica, and beige slip. Cylindrical neck, slightly closing at the rim (opening ø 12.7 cm). Oval-section handles (2.7 x 4.3). Red-painted inscriptions: a) on the upper body, below one of the handles (h.l.: 2-2.5); b) on the neck (h.l.: 1 on average, φ = 3.5): Φιλαδέλφου, with a large mu below (h.: 2.5), in thick cursive script, perhaps 1st century AD.
