Marble basin fragment with lead repair, Rampart

White marble and lead. Fragment of a basin with a thick wall, whose straight rim is inclined towards the interior; the fragment is broken into two parts and shows an ancient repair made with lead strips placed on both sides of the wall, joined by cast metal poured through small circular holes in the wall, with at least two clamps. chantier : Rempart carre : K V/γ10 type :ÉCUELLES, COUPES OU JATTES DE PIERRE num planche : PL_05 — Marbre blanc et plomb. — Fragment de vasque à paroi épaisse, dont le bord droit est incliné vers l'intérieur. Le fragment est brisé en deux parties et présente une réparation ancienne faite au moyen de lamelles de plomb : posées des deux côtés de la paroi, elles ont été soudées entre elles grâce à des coulées de métal passées dans de petits trous circulaires ménagés dans la paroi.
