Fragment of a draped bust of a goddess, without the back, showing the right breast and the left forelegs and ear of an animal on her right side, with vertical folds of drapery falling below. Given the size of this fragment, it must have belonged to a large statue. Surface chips; coarse brown fabric that flakes; hollow-moulded. H. 12.4 cm, l. 11.6 cm. The position of the left ear, finely hemmed and with a well-marked hollow, close against the bust to the right of the breast, suggests that the deer's head was seen frontally, as on the previous example. Beneath the breast appears the obliquely set left foreleg with its cloven hoof. Drapery moulds the breast, radiating outward from it. Period: Classical. La position de l'oreille gauche, finement ourlée et au creux bien marqué, tout contre le buste à droite du sein, amène à penser que la tête de la biche se présentait de face, comme sur l'exemplaire précédent.
