Head of the Great Goddess with a calathos, Classical period, made of beige-pink clay and hollow-moulded; height 8.8 cm. The head is incomplete: a quarter of the face on the left is missing along a vertical break through the corner of the eye, and the whole back is gone. The nose is chipped at the tip and the features are rather coarse; the hair is in stiff, thick strands drawn to the sides and gathered at the centre in a coil, held by a ribbon. A pendant earring is perhaps visible on the left, and it is not known at all whether the calathos was decorated. On devine un pendant d'oreille à gauche. menton rond et empâté. Cheveux en mèches raides et épaisses, tirées sur les côtés et réunies au centre en une sorte de coque, le tout étant retenu par un ruban qui passe dans les bandeaux et sous la coque. On ignore tout à fait si le calathos avait un décor ou non dessin : D_0594 diapositives : C_2134 inv objet : Tc_0746 inv tessons : Tc_0746 il ne reste qu'un fragment de calathos, et de cou, à droite. Pâte beige rosé. Moulée creuse. H. 8,8. Traits du visage assez grossiers : nez fort pub : SAL_PUB_139892_XIV_CAT_14_0130_p_0059 bouche étroite, fermée et même pincée, aux lèvres épaisses, surtout la lèvre supérieure Tête incomplète : manquent le 1/4 du visage à gauche, selon une cassure verticale passant au coin de l’œil, et tout l'arrière chantier : Zone au sud du rempart
