Object card for a terracotta figurine of a lyre-player (Joueuse de Lyre), Classical period, from the area south of the rampart, square K VI/γ3, Salamis, Cyprus; inventory Tc_0527, drawing D_2222, slide C_1871, notebook page 14. Incomplete: the head and neck are missing and the right foot is broken; buff (chamois) paste, H. 13.2 cm, l. 5 cm. The left side of the bust is broken along its full height, where the lyre was lost; the plectrum appears between the thumb and index finger below the left breast, the right arm folded across the front with the forearm rising strongly over the bust. A long tunic descends to the feet (apparently shod), forming a vertical depression between the straight legs, perhaps a simple central fold. Over the tunic, a drape crosses the body from left to right as a broad band edged with slight raised rims, its upper edge running exactly along the forearm, which appears bare. La cassure du buste à gauche signale la présence d'une lyre, et le plectre apparaît entre le pouce et l'index sous le sein gauche, le bras droit étant replié par-devant, l'avant-bras remontant fortement sur le buste. Une tunique longue descend jusqu'aux pieds (lesquels sont apparemment chaussés), en formant une dépression verticale entre les jambes toutes droites (façon de représenter un simple pli central ?).
