English, translated from the French record

Calathos of pinkish-yellow fine clay, wheel-made, with a brown painted decoration; rim diameter 19.5 cm, base diameter 5 cm, complete height 8 cm. The thickened rim is cut horizontally, the body is carinated with concave, divergent sides, and it has a ring base and two horizontal handles applied to the wall. Inside the vessel are horizontal bands; on the body are bands, lines and a zone of triangles filled with cross-hatching and checkerboard, with a stylised dark silhouette of a capridae (perhaps an agagre) in a metope between two triangles, and an animal in walking position facing right with its head turned back, carrying two long curved horns, one marked with two dark spots perhaps representing the tines. The animal's head is two horizontal strokes showing an open mouth with a small double goatee. Under the base are crossed strokes. Inventory V_0345; Tomb 1, Salamis; drawing D_1969; 1965-04.
