Pestle of very hard dark green stone, complete apart from a very small chip missing; H. 6.5 x 6 x 5.6 cm (as given). Similar to Sal_6492, with traces of a binding; found in the house dated to the 4th century AD, with lamp type XIX (Sal. 1269). The clear binding traces suggest that at an earlier period the tool was fitted to a handle. Inventory Po_0095; 16 March 1967.
