Fragment of a left hand: only the base of the thumb and index finger remain, the other fingers and the left edge of the hand being broken. Salmon-coloured paste with white slip; hollow moulded. H. 17 cm, l. 15 cm. The left hand hangs down, gripping between the widely spaced thumb and index finger a pointed triangular element, perhaps a double fold of drapery (?). To its right, thick superimposed flat folds; a twisted bracelet at the wrist. Given the dimensions of the fragment, it seems to have belonged to a large terracotta statue. Square K VI/δ4, area south of the rampart, Salamis. Inventory Tc_0260; negative 02012_05; slide C_1270; drawing D_0464; plate PL_11; Classical period. 15 March 1967.
