Complete moulded lamp of the late 8th series, Late Roman period, from Campanopetra, square K IV/γ9, inventory L_0223. Height 3.1 cm, length 9.2 cm, width 6.2 cm; apart from a small break at the handle, the lamp is complete. Salmon-coloured clay, perhaps covered on the upper part with a cream slip; the nozzle shows traces of fire. A straight transverse rib separates the depression leading to the wick hole, and the crown is decorated with floral garland motifs. The medallion is decorated with arcs of circles in slight relief surrounding the filling hole, except near the handle attachment, similar to Sal. 550.
