Gold solidus of Constans II, weight 4.21 g, diameter 20 mm, Byzantine, 651-654, Campanopetra; it shows a bust of Constans II with long beard and moustache, facing, crowned, wearing a military cloak and a robe, holding a globe surmounted by a cross in his right hand. Reverse: a cross potent on a three-step base, with a Latin legend reading 'Our Lord Constantine Augustus Perpetual' and the mint mark of the sixth workshop of the Constantinople mint; found in the north-west corner room of the western courtyard, on the paving of the gutter.
