July 20? "E" wall of Corridor B must have either been built on end of steps to cistern, or they are later than the mosaic. If the room went no further, where was door to Area 50? for the W jamb cutting is too far back. If the wall was built wi W. face on the rock cutting there might have been another inscription to fill the space? - Reach area 50 from big room only? & make 50 a light court? Bench at E. side of Area 50.
Can the cuttings for the doors in N. wall of S. room be associated with a pre-mosaic period? This is quite possible.
