Extended 2953-1 to 1.05 m W. of W. face of E. wall of S. Bldg (in Guard House) removing strat described on p 2972 and an additonal handful of sherds + small figurine frag which I am putting in sherd bag. Putting these sherds in 2953-1 of Jan. 8. Found also here coin MF 1984 at bottom of stratum, below level of top of foundation of W. wall of S. Bldg. Removed clean soilno sherds or finds save coin on top of strata left as sample from last year at 42.60 m E. of W. wall of S. Bldg. See Film 163-13-+.. also 163-12 before removing clean soil
