April 5 Water drain at Tr 9 A-y, A-B, south 16. See Film 14 #50. Workman removed part of 3rd stratum along with second underneath. stopped just about 50 cm east of A. Threw out from b-y about 1/3 basket sherds. Sample kept. 1/5 ounce glass found among the sherds in drain. Surface soil dark 2d strat. reddish 3 strat. quite red no stones in 2d or 3rd strata
See Film 15 #3. Coin Find No. 329 (p. 247) found upright in 2c second stratum. Workman removed second stratum of drain from A-B without cutting into third. Coin definitely in second and not in third stratum. No sherds found in second stratum from A to B. Cont p. 256
