Nov 11 (Monday) dug Tr 1, third stratum 7-8-y. Melanthos [worked] in Tr 1 Tr 2 dug E-Z west (stratum) 2-14 & 16-20 first stratum. 16 to wall west of H 2nd stratum begun 10-14 2nd stratum begun 8-10. 2nd stratum continued digging out cistern Tr 3 H-I first stratum. This trench is continuation of 4 yard [illegible] trench from South of Apollo grove in 1922. See p. 10 at A to find continuation of terracotta **pipe** & water conduit. See plan p. 10
