Some work in Tomb 9, when Yordani not needed in G. W. F's tomb. Small martyra removed, surface now all or nearly all cleared. See pp. 148-150. Martyra along NE wall remains, and some stones inside the door with fill under them. 3 more pots visible, 2 foreign unguentaria and one of the abbreviated type. The latter lies a little NW of the "bottom of jug" (see p. 149) at its level; both must have lain under the body of which part of the bones fell with the break into Tomb 9. (Vertebrae were lying at or slightly above the level; possibly the pots were between arm and side, and so belonged to this individual, in which case abbrev. ung. remains late as suggested p. 149. Actually slightly higher lies one #12 of the fusiforms now cleared & between the two best pres. skeletons). The second (very small, mouth #11 gone) is at a definitely lower level, ca. .06 below. This lower level has only been cleared in spots, here in following down a large fragment of the #13 amphora (?) mentioned p. 148; both

of frag. rests on same level as fus.#11 ung., and some bone has been cleared next to it. The "more completed skeleton" of p. 150 rests on earth which covered these things. Of the late skeleton remains of ribs and of upper arms & left shoulder are now cleared. An arm bone lies under where neck ought to be. Next (inside) where the skeleton# which fell into Tomb 1, have cleared the ribs of a child surmounted by a lower jaw with well-worn adult teeth. The crania beyond crushed, looks how to be two (perhaps one of the child [illegible]? or of the adultA who fell over the benchB?)
