* Note that this was apparently found in the dromos of the "other" tomb (see bottom of p. 56 2 below): see McF. p. 116, 113 & 117. Its appearance in section p. 115 evidently by mistake; On p. 117 it seems to be [blank] (ho, just apter) tomb 9, on p. 115 on trom of T. 1 on p. 113 on drm of Tomb 9
The finding plan of McF. 1940 F 16 quite clear in his Film 49. 14, transcribed by him p. 90: "place where lamp F 16 found - Pit 43, looking about north". On p. 92: "in depth of 310 320 cm E. to E. of original pit (per. p. 106) found among fallen fills of earth and stones." On 49.14 on is reminded of dromos of Tomb 1 (cf. esp. 17.25 and 18,39), and F 16 looks as if it were found near the W corner of Tomb 9.

The 5[4] jars and a jug#5 (with round body, ring foot, ribbed handle to narrow neck), and apparently also a flat-shouldered jug#6 in the dromos, don't see why not to be associated together and attributed to a late burial of which we have bit of cranium near the fallen door, to be dated by the coin#12 of Probus (276 AD)? Level need not be terribly even, since on a fall of rock and earth apparently. Bones from this late burial however remarkably scarce. Was nothing to go with the cranium frags. Then below the fallen door, and fallen roof stuff was solid above it (no disturbance since fall).

[But more of the cranium still found by Achmet digging.] Removed pots of upper layer save the one under the doorslab (#1) #3 (the highest and the one that looks latest) hard to remove, on very hard fill.
