15/V/40 Some rain in afternoon AM, photo. taken of late (?) entrance with alabastra and 44-46 iron 47 object (unfortunately not showing properly with its floor which had been cut down a bit in front of it) and various areas with upper level bone frags. These objects added to plan, except larger more complicated bone area drawn in note book (see opp. page) at same scale as plan and with connecting measurements. Achmet cleans high bones over beyond gold #9. Finds bit of gold in earth in skull. Another bit cleared next bowl #7 (direction of entrance from it) at approximately its #8 #7 resting level, suggests lamp, bowl & gold here are contemporary group (some differences in level).

Afternoon, take away bones drawn opp.; also those frags. found by resting place of #1 (see p. 15). Bones in large patch rest partly on chavara, partly on brown loose stuff. The bones did not in general continue under higher indicating separate strata, but there was an general effect of rise toward the entrance, of scattered somewhat piled material. Piling effect emphasized by sherds (see diagram in corner of opp. page)
