8 May 1950Between vomitoria three and four cleared first layer of stones in north section cleared layer of stones along west wall. The cleaning revealed a fill of stones. These stones removed, till a harder fill of stones reached. D. This fill of stones did not seem to be a cutting for the west wall as the soil on their east side went in between the stones and the same fill goes over to the wall east wall or under east wall, showing that the two walls are contemporaneous.
In north part of cavea, the second layer is out of heavy stones which covers in part the cutting for the north wall. The first layer is of small stones, and the third a hard layer with stone large stones. shud Bag: 95, 98
