Cleared East of hypocaust. The loose fill seems now to extend to southern side of door to hypocaust.
Cleared black soil from area south of Room T, prevented from proceeding further by tree among stones tomorrow, we plan to remove tree.
Room S^1, cleared fallen plaster. This seemed plaster cam with stones came in two layers. The upper fell with its smooth side down, the lower was mixed up. cleared the floor coins and lamps under plaster. Moved fallen pillar just to north of wall and discovered drain which leads into Room S^1 on west side.
Room M cleared black parts of seventh layer and eighth layer which seem to come up from seventh layer.

One was square and seemed to be wood from a be an upright beam. This one seemed clearly to be of the eighth layer only. The pipes across the room were cleared and no sherds found within them.
The disturbed South east corner was removed, revealing another floor below. wood wood in S In Room O, continued clearing trench for North wall
