17-4-39Tomb 17A

See p. 99

Start clearing tomb 17A. It has the same queer shape as tomb 17, and is doubtless to be regarded as belonging to the same complex, and probably family.

x19-4-39 Begin to clear the floor in the south part. This tomb has been thoroughly ransacked, much more so than tomb 17. Only a few sections of the original fill of the tomb were found high up on the walls, tunnelled under and devoid of finds. A mass of sherds, clearly discarded by the earlier excavators, was found in the center. A well cut block was found in the S. room, just over the discarded sherds.
