5-4-39Tomb 19(73)

Photo Bam. '39.46 at 0.70 Tomb 19 lies in the middle of the first big north terrace of Lot 236. A rock cutting 3.70 × 1.60 M is found, with two groups of erect stones on the long S. side. If these are doors into the tomb, the S-W one is the latest, as the stone blocking the other goes below both the 0.70 and the levels. A burial level is found 0.70 below the top of the bed-rock on the north. The objects, p. 74: 1-3, 22 are associated with the one skull (I) and few bones of this L.C.III level.

6-4-39 A second burial level is found at 0.85. Two adult skulls (II-III) and five baby skulls (IV-VII) are found, with associated bones. A string of sea-shells is found with the baby skeleton IV. Photos Bam. 39.51-52 at 0.85

10-4-39 A lower level, with skulls X-XXXIV, is found 1.00 down. Objects 11-17, 25 belong with this level. Here again there are skeletal remains of many babies. The big stomion (?) stone at the S. stops (to p. 83)
