Photo R7 of 16:1 at 10.06 (point a) = 10.16 (d) 10.30 (point c)
7-6-38 We have extended the trench considerable to the west, still failing to find the west wall of 16:1, and have dug below 10.06 in the east part, finding red-brown earth, still apparently tumble, at 10.15 (c) & (center) (c). Much pottery is visible in situ at this level, but we have not yet reached an occupation level.
Photos T 1-3 at 10.15 Start digging below 10.15 and finding sandier red-brown earth, not yet, however, the floor
8-6-38 Continue clearing the 10.24 level, and isolate the west wall of 16:1, separating it from the newly created 16:9 (Points b+c are fin 16:9).
9-6-38 Photo V4 at 10.24 Dig below 10.24, through sandy brown earth, and find a floor, of similar earth, with white and green particles, at 10.30
10-6-38 Finish clearing the 10.30 floor. There is (to p. 183)
