Dig north west of the visible brick wall, below 11.05 = 11.28, in section (g) of p. 124. The red floor continues to the W. end of the brick wall, but at this point it is cut, section (g) having a relatively loose brown fill. The assumption that (g) is earth from the destruction of a wall, is soon proved by the discovery of a piece of this crosswall, of stone, 65 cm. wide, under the N. wall of 2:26. The earth in the destruction continues loose, with occasional small stones and pieces of brick. It stops at 11.48 at a level of brokon clayey mud with white particles, probably from the setting of the wall. Photos Cam 175-176 of 27+28, with sect. g at 11.48.
