2:19 E (13) Bam 168 Photos of 2:19 E cleared to stones just below 10.76 = 10.88 level. Start digging below this, starting in the east by old tr. 3, where there are no stones. Cut through fairly clean sandy red-brown earth, and find a change to grittier earth at 11.24 (S-E) = 11.44 (N-E), by wall to "Unit in wall". Many stones stop at this level, but others go through. This is a good firm level, possibly a floor, in spite of the fact that it runs up on the stones. We find a small pit cut through it at the edge of the stones.

Photos Bam 169-170 of 2:13 at 11.29 = 11.44 Dig below 11.24 = 11.44 and find a very distinct level of gritty grey earth at 11.28 = 11.53. All the stones, which are in red earth, stop at this level.

Continue clearing to the grey level. At the extreme N of the section now being cleared we find a second and higher grey level, separated from the 11.28 = 11.53 by a few centimeters of red earth. This upper level is at 11.66 (the 11.28 = 11.53 level dips to 11.74 at this point.
