2:25 B, cont'd. circumstances of P789 and P813

(4:10)(2:28 E)2:25 (A+B) Sh88 and Sh262 simply give evidence of the disturbance of the upper levels in 2:25. Sh 262 is particularly striking, joining a sherd from 4:10. The find record seems reliable. Sh88 joins Sh 287, from a L.C.II level in 2:28 E.

2:27 P812 probably indicates the contemporaneity of the two levels in which it was found. see p, 74 : 6

4:1 Sh 333 indicates the unity of the deposit between 9.23-9.47 and 9.53-9.67. This is probably tumble. Sherds of this pot were found scattered in many places. Similar evidence of scattering is given by Sh 305. The "post" is probably not a post at all, but simply a group of stones in tumble.
