19.5.37TRENCH 2 from p. 29
Unit 27 : Digging below 10.74 = 11.10 we find a sandy brown level. at 10.97 = 11.36. In the south, (UNIT 28) toward unit 26 there is a white composition floor at this level. Stop at a level over the white floor (10.98). Unit 25 A: Finish clearing the 10.40 = 10.59 floor. In the south it is of packed whiteish sandstone with bits of limestone & gravel, to the north this fades into firm sandy clayey earth, brown and grey with considerable white, lying on bed-rock. Clear out the Barabrah of the pithoi. The south one is filled with very loose red-brown earth, the north with relatively pure sandstone. The 10.40 = 10.59 floor slopes down to the south, where it is at 10.45 = 10.56 Dig below 10.45 = 10.56 in the S part [finding] a similar white level at 10.45 = 10.58
