present it looks as if the 10.95 = 11.11 level corresponded to the 11.26 = 11.31 in unit 21 and the 11.12 = 11.25 in unit 22, and that the stoney fill of all these units is all one, prior to the building of the house, designed to level off the ground inside the circuit wall.
North extension: Dig of unit 25 below 9.61 = 10.46 through fairly clean red brown earth, and find sandy red-brown earth at 9.92 = 10.57. This seems to be the top of tumble, the same as 9.90 = 10.67 in unit 25. In the west we are able to differentiate between the area of trench 10 and the ext. of Tr. 2, Unit 25. In a line nearly a continuation of that of the "posts" at the east side of unit 24, a slight change of earth occurs. In the tr. 10 area there are particles of green sandstone, which are missing below. We leave the tr. 10 area at the 9.61 = 10.46 level for the time being.
Dig below 9.92 = 10.57, finding very distinct red tumble, with many stones, at 9.98 = 10.20 in the west, 10.32 = 10.66 in the east. (to p. 165)
