Unit 16: Dig below 9.95=10.12, through slightly orange brown earth. The bed rock appears in circular shape on the N. + W. Find a level of fairly firm brown earth at 10.02=10.21. Dig below this and find another level of brown earth with some stones, at 10.14=10.30. In the North we see that the cutting of the rock is partly occasioned by a pit. This must go to the 9.95=10.12 level or above, but it was unfortunately not detected until the 10.14=10.30 level.
Unit 25: Dig through fairly clean brown earth, half for quyen opposite units 16+20 West than below, and find a consistent and firm level at 10.67= 9.96. We are not digging tumble. A hole opens, the top of the open space over a pithos, some distance below.
Unit 21: Dig below 11.07=11.15 and find the continuation of the 11.10=11.19 floor of unit 22, at 11.13=11.18.
