Unit 12: Clear a floor at 10.50 (1.10 m. E. of W. wall) = 10.67. In the west the floor ends at bed-rock from the W. wall, which slopes up and runs more or less level at 10.34. Remove the stones and clay floor of the fireplace, leaving the packing behind it. The packing continues to the S. + W. walls, and is composed of complete and broken mud-bricks with a little red earth in between. This pack goes to the 10.50 = 10.67 floor. A terracotta jug vat and one plain and one bucchero jug are found on the 10.50 = 10.67 floor. Photo Bam 87 of packing for fireplace with stones removed. Photo Bam 88 of unit 12 from W.
