faced with lime. The lime is continuous with that of the 9.77 = 9.80 floor in unit 1, and slopes up, going among and partly over the stones of the threshold, and then fuses with the 9.36 = 9.51 floor in unit 5. It thus appears certain that these two floors are contemporary.

Unit 5: Remove the sherds on the 9.35 = 9.47 floor, and then start removing the clay dirt accumulation which lies over the original floor in many places, particularly in the S.W half. The 1st floor is at 9.36 = 9.51

Unit 18: Find a good firm floor at 10.61 = 10.67, of gritty redbrown earth in the west, and of yellow spaxos in the east.

Unit 17: The 10.74 = 10.77 level was at the most a level in tumble, with a great many stones going through. Dig below this level, leaving the stones for a photograph. Find a level at 10.86 Photo B 441, 2 of Unit 17 at 10.86
