some snail shells, at 10.32 (level). A complete two handled bowl and several slabs of stone rest on this floor. A circular slab lay on the 10.23 = 10.26 level.

Unit 12: A pit covered with very stoney fill goes down among fragments of a pithos, but part of the pithos is under the solid earth of the floor. Find a fire-place, on the south side lined with stones, covered with mud, which slopes down to form the floor, and terminates in a very thin wall ca. 1 1/2 cm. thick, to the N.E. Beyond this was a pit containing ordinary fill and ash.

Unit 8: Dig below the 10.11 = 10.23 level, through tumble with a great deal of limestone, to a sandy floor with some ash, at 10.11 = 10.29. There are a great many stones, some worked, on this floor and in the tumble over it. The fireplace goes to this floor.

Dig below this level, through the same earth as above, and start finding a better floor, of crushed stone, at 10.26 = 10.37
