The ἐξεδρίην θαλαμὸν τε inscription is set in lime plaster, in contradistinction to the clay of the rest.

In the part under panel #1 earth with much lime & gravel is found at 0.25. This goes at 0.40 to a clear \earth & \ chavara level floor. This is flush with the top of the lower east wall, but is cut by it. The foundation for the W. wall (by ἐξεδρίην) lies on this level.

Digging through the 0.40 level we find a very hard and level floor at 0.45. This is mostly of chavara, but near the walls, of lime. There are many stones lying on it.

5.7.39 The 0.45 level lies directly over the top of a new complex of walls.

A north-south wall of well-made rubble is found under the W wall of room B, its top at 0.45. At 0.80 there is the threshold of a door, and at 1.00 an E-W wall at the S. At 85 a piece of wall projects just N. of the door.

Below this stone on the N is the entrance to a deep pit in the rock, going below the wall to a depth of at least 2 m.

We dug below .45 to 1.20 in one lot, taking the earth near the S wall separately.

The W wall (N-S) cuts the earth from 0.95. The S (EW) wall also cuts the earth, at least below 1.20.

At 1.20, there is a clear level, with of much chavara, 5 cm. deep. It lies on clean dark brown earth at 1.25.
