Room R - reset upper drum of W. column, found on the floor, 20 cm. from the drum in situ. The flattened face was up. The lower bottom end of the drum was the one nearest the drum in situ.
Just w south of the E. column was a double fire-place of rude type, built in to the floor, with which it is contemporary. There are plaques for the floor & partitions. In the S. partition is a layer of ash 0.08 deep. In the N. partition is an iron object, and the shells of a chicken egg. This stove built into a relatively prominent room of the palace shows more than anything yet found into what poor hands the building had come before its distruction.
