June 14cont'd_ Trench III

Soil changes in P, at 0.50 from dark rocky soil to yellowish soil with smaller rocks, like middle strosis in Σ.

Capital lying out of place, 0.50 below wall. Other capital and columns lying at bottom of dark strosis in Π + P

Photograph VIII: of Π - P, June 14, evening - showing kolumn fragments as found. (at 0.50, starts to change at 0.10)

Earth changes in P, (at wall P-Σ), from darkish top-soil (rocky) to yellowish, somewhat sandy soil, in which are many rocks, and fragments fallen from the building (squared blocks, capitals, columns, etc. This strosis seems to end at 1.45 (at wall P-Σ), and is followed by a harder yellow strosis with many small pieces of philia

This second strosis (0.50-1.45) seems to correspond to the second strosis in Σ, though the latter is relatively clear of stones.
