p. 832 Trench 10. "Draughtsman drawing longitudinal section of trench 10 A-Z, east 4-6." [Note: if this plan exists it should help to pin down Trench 10 grid.]

p. 945 10 May 48. "Am placing the entire area west of Street 1 (both north and south sections between street, plateia, [Northwest Building] ) on Street 1 system. and Temple A [Before war Street 1 became Trench 9 after [Xi ?] but only surface soil was removed west of street and on a restricted scale only. Meters west will indicate always meters west of the west inner line of the street. Near the central section of the street its orientation changes slightly; the orientation of trench lines change accordingly."

p. 1168 4 Apr. 49. "Extending Street 1 system beyond Xi west of Street 1 but Trench 9 system remaining active east of Street 1 south of Xi."

p. 1174 Apr. 6, 49. "For trench 9 system see topographical chart." [Note: where is topographical chart? Nothing of this sort in Philadelphia. Consult J. Last.]

p. 1653 Trench 11. Plan, with location of grid with reference to modern guard house wall. This wall I believe is on same line as the eastermost room of the South Building. Trench 11 grid system covers the area of the Southeast Building.

p. 1654 Trench 11. "The south line of the trench is due east of north wall of Guard House."

p. 6 Votive Deposit. "The deposit was discovered in driving Trench 7 north from the stoa of the South Building."

Mus.Bull., vol. 7, no. 2, p. 13 Curium plans Trench 10. One partly inked plan labelled in pencil "Plan showing trenches 1/100" indicates the position of Trench 10 4-6 west, A-A' east, 4-6 east, 10-12 east with relation to one another and to the South Building. These trenches run N-S across plateia north of South Building.
