Room 3If we assmue that the 1st column was of the same distance n. of the n. wall as in room 5, then we may calculate the theoretical points on which the columns stood on the stylobates. Cont. p. 2425.

Distance from n. wall to n. face of s. stylobate ..........14.00 Allowing 0.35 m. at least .35 we have 14.35 allowing 0.27 m. for the 1/2 width of plinth at least .27 6th column stood at 14.62 Assuming 1st col. stood at 2.48 For 5 col. we have space .......................................12.14 5x = 12.4 x = 2.428 = intercolumniation as computed.

col. 1 at 2.48 f. n. 1/2wall 2.428/4.908 2 at 4.908 2.428/7.336 3 at 7.336 2.428/9.764 4 at 9.764 2.428/12.192 5 at 12.192 2.428/14.620 6 at 14.620

North face of stylobate wall is however at 14.94 14.62/0.32 Dif. 0.32 .27 plinth allowed .30 or 1/2 plinth plinth Very close. Cont. p. 2486
