frag. glass F 1130, metal frags. and 1 coin F 1131. Placed metal in box in sherd bag. Glass frag. may give a post quem for fill here, so I have given this frag. a number (F 1130). 2023-1 N 8-15 not yet sieved. For stones from 2031-2 N 4.30-10.00 see Film 141-27.

Removed from sieve, Temple A, east cella, center, w. half, 1969-2, about one bucket sherds - no other finds, N 5-11. Removed also from sieve same place 1969-1, about 1/4 bucket sherds and 1/4 bucket tiles - tiles thrown out, mostly small nondescript frags. Removed also from sieve same place 1969-4 about 1/3 bucket sherds, and saucer type lamp frag. F 1133, and box bones placed in sherd bag and about 1/4 bucket tiles - all thrown out but 1 which I have placed in sieve sherd bag.

31 May50. Removed from SE Bldg. (Trench 11) S 11.50-15.00, E 10-13.50, strat. 2, 0-20 cm. below top of s. stylobate of court, P. 2035-2, loose reddish soil, many rough stones - all debris. 1/4 bucket sherds & lamp frag. F 1137. Tiles E 10-20, S 12-15 2035-2 stacked s. of s. stylobate at E 11.00.

Removed SE Bldg., room 1, portico opposite entrance between fallen door jambs to north and south, 2043-4. The top of this served as a foundation for a paved floor which once lay here. After it was removed it served as a floor in its stead. The top of this stratum was fairly loose; lower near bedrock it was harder, more compact, and somewhat redder; a good number of stones, rough ones only averaging between fist and notebook size. The soil throughout strat. 4 was red. About 1/4 bucket of sherds or less, and over 1/2 bucket tiles. From here came also F 1129, 1135, & 1136. No other finds. Am stacking tiles [red ink: P02/11] on bedrock at entrance to room near fallen lower s. door jamb. Stacking tiles from 2043-3 at E 11.50, S 8.00.

Removed Temple A, w. cella, w. side, N 0-8, P. 2019-4, loose dull brown soil, great many rough stones for which see Film 141-32. About 1/2 bucket sherds N 0-5, and another 1/2 bucket N 5-8, in 2 bags. Seven small tile frags. N 0-8 placed on west foundation wall at 2 N with 2 stone frags. No other finds. Sieving this stratum (See p. ).

[pencil: coin F 1139, [illegible1 June50. Removed from sieve Temple A, w. cella, w. side N 0-3, 5-8, 1941-1, nearly 1/2 bucket sherds, small box animal bones, and small box containing few glass frags. including thin blown glass (clear) - probably from top of 1941-1 as not found elsewhere in temple below floor levels. As top of 1941-1 remained exposed for some time they may be intrusive - almost certainly are. / why? [illegible] ?]] Removed same area from sieve P. 1941-2 about 1 bucket of sherds, coin F 1139, box of bones, & box of metal frags. in sieve bag.
