KALORIZIKI, TOMB 25

Notes after Clearing (cont.)

It is more likely that there never was more than one. There are numerous parallels.

The finds in Tomb 25 are very early geometric: "sub-Mycenaean". Especially interesting are the hand-made black pots.

Chronology: The difference in time between Tomb 25 and 24 [handwritten: ✓] is long enouth for the skeleton to have dried (so as to have been so badly dispersed), but not long enough for the roof and walls to have caved in (the objects were obviously clear when they were moved). In this necropolis the walls could not have stood long.

Tomb 27 is cut under the dromos of 25 so thinly that 27 must be later, or the dromos of 25 would have broken through.
