P 2710 (BR bull); P 2828 (Myc.IIIA:2 piriform f-n jar); M 892, St 90, St 899

85% pithos ware 1 sherd RP Sh 634 2 " BS 2 " Monochrome 1 " Burnished Slip Sh 753 10 " BR II (most of one bowl with applied white; fr. of bull vase) 1 " Painted Sh 635

These sherds will be considered with phase C of House II.

21:14 (IV.4/W.VI.1) courtyard. Several Late Geometric sherds give evidence of disturbance in hard red fill of 21:14(W). Otherwise the sherds are early (Sh 645). Below this, in debris of an earlier wall of House III(?), about 10 cm. above bedrock:

95% plain 3 sherds Wash

The debris of the early wall clearly antedates phase I of House VI. The geometric sherds of the hard red fill must be intrusive, though Daniel does not comment on them.

21:29 (D.II.6/W.VII.5-6) In filling of wall cutting: 3 sherds PWM II 3 " BR (1 BR bull frag)

Presumably this belongs with phase B 1 (LC III levels).

21:51 Large area behind House VII (and to west of Megaron?) where bedrock lay near to surface. Much disturbed in modern times. There were no traces of houses but numerous cuttings, a situation somewhat like that of 20:15 b-e (1954 campaign). However, there is no evidence that these cuttings had anything to do with a necropolis.
