21:10 (W.VII.8). Large pebble floor cleared but no sherds reported. Daniel did not number this room; his numbering in this area seemed to be undergoing revision.
21:11 (D.II.4(?)/W.VII.9) A whole series of archaic cuttings was excavated (sherd bag cards: E.part of cutting S. of 21:11; cutting between 21:1 and 21:11 S. end; cutting along S. side of 21:11 to rock in center; in red to ?). To this complex must be reckoned materials from the pit between 21:1 and 21:11, in which, among other things, the following were found:
(a)gypsum fragments
(b)Sh 615 (stamped pithos rim)
(c)Sh 617 (frags of a Myc. coarse ware pot).
There is no certain correlation between "Pit near wall to 21:12 and notebook, but this may be the same pit referred to in VIII,65 (pencil note). In any case, it is in E.II.1 and dates from the period represented by the 7.25 floor. It contained the following:
20% plain Sh 644 8 sherds Wash 6 " Monochrome 2 " WS II 11 " BR I and II 7 " RP
21:12 (D.I.1/W.II.6) The well in the east corner belongs presumably with the 7.30 or 7.25 level. The upper part of the well was disturbed in archaic times. P 2711 (pithos neck) is from this level. In the undisturbed portion were the following:
