B(5) The deep fill which consists of the worked-over debris of stratum B, and which immediately precedes the construction of the following stratum, contained the following sherds. This stratum was laid down at almost exactly the same time as stratum B(4), but the sherds in this should logically run somewhat earlier than in that stratum, since the bulk of this material comes from the time of construction of house A.III, and probably contains material of stratum A as well, whereas the other stratum consists largely of accumulation of the end of stratum B. Both, of course, may contain material dating from the last day or two before the construction of house IV.
